So, I'm not the type of person to talk about wars. I'm not a history buff. I prefer peace. I wish war was non-existent for all parts of the world. But with my daughter having a planned trip to Israel next month, I've become increasingly concerned about the current heightened conflict in the Middle East. In recent days, things have become even more scary than usual, and what's worse, is that I've been exposed to the misunderstanding, miseducation, and pure unadulterated hate American people (and others) have toward Israel. Even a FB page that leaned very left during the elections posted something yesterday that was so offensive to my sense of right and wrong. To say I was shocked is an understatement. So, in hopes of helping others learn the truth about the war in the Middle East, I'm sharing this short, it's just 6 minutes, video by an American scholar who can clear it all up. I've always known the basics, but I've never understood the history so fully - until now. Please watch:

I'm glad you posted this Ally. I hadn't seen it before and it does do a good job of explaining the problem. The only thing I would add is that the reason the Jewish people are hated is because they are God's people. It has been so throughout history. I've never understood exactly why the world seems to go against God's people so vehemently, but they do. I believe that one day though, Israel will gain the freedom they desire.
