I wish I had crafty goodness to share, but my studio is a mess, there's laundry everywhere, and I am behind on all things school and work related. So, I thought I'd play along with the 30 days of thanks game instead. But the reality is, I don't have the energy to think of something and post it every day. Instead, how about I just make a list and share it... right here, right now? Good... here goes.
In no particular order, I am thankful for:
- The opportunity to work with the most amazing scrapbook company out there. Run by smart, talented, kind, encouraging people who allow me to play with some of the BEST product on the market. I cannot say enough how much I love working with Simple Stories. And did you all see this post from the Simple Stories Facebook Fan page? It made me giddy! Just got samples in of the most amazing beautiful product - eeek! What do you think it is? We'd love to see your guesses...but we can't show you until our CHA Winter sneak peek :)
- After living in the Phoenix desert the past 19 years, I now live where I get to experience this:
- My coffee maker that turns itself off after two hours.
- Supportive professors and colleagues who encourage me and provide me with constant feedback to keep me learning and growing...
- ... and for the brain in my head that allows me to think, and ponder, and understand the challenging work I do.
- The coolest job I've ever had where I get to see future teachers being born.
- ...and where I get to work with some pretty great people named Jamie, Jen, Jim and Laura...
- Amazing friends (new and old) who have supported me through all the good and not so good times of the past few years. I love you all.
- And for the cool new friends I am making in my new home who want to visit places like this with me:
- The roof over my head that although is super messy right now, provides me warmth, shelter, and a beautiful place to live.
- Apple products that are easy to use, fun to own, and keep me fully connected to those far away.
- The doctors who took care of my mother for the last few days while she was in the hospital.
- My phone and the photos it allows me to take without lugging around my DSLR all the time...
- Davang Restaurant and the best Pho in the state:
- The Arizona Cattle Dog Rescue Association who has embraced Taylor as a volunteer, adopted out more rescues than I can count in the short time we've known them, and who graciously donated not one, but two neuters to members of our family. Seriously, if you are in the market for a pup of any age, this rescue is the place to find one!
- The "cool" heating unit we have in Flagstaff that although is set to 65 degrees keeps the house a warm 70 or so... AND doesn't cost an arm and a leg in utility bills! Thank you water under the floors!
- The first family photo we've had in several years...
- These two...even though they have a serious love/hate relationship
- beaches ...
- Discovering the joys of Korean BBQ thanks to my cousin in Cali.
- Memories of childhood brought back to me thanks to my aunt's beautiful paintings and incredible talent:
- The feast of Thanksgiving spent with family which started with this bird:
- and which earlier began with a toast during which I discovered I liked champagne for the first time thanks to my aunt and uncle who know their stuff when it comes to grapes...
- Wool socks which keep my feet warm because even though the house is warm, my feet never are.
- Family stories which begin with photos like this...
- My talented daughter who knows how to take a picture of me so I can always be in the picture at some point... but which are not yet converted to post :P
- Opportunities for teaching that seem to keep coming my way.
- Confidence that at some point in my life, I will be soaring again.
- Seat warmers in my car... because dangit, they are COLD after sitting overnight in 20 degree weather!
- and last, but certainly not least... all of you, who come here, read my blog, share your own stories or simply just enjoy mine. Thank you.

Love all your pictures. I am going to try PL in 2013...you look like you've kept up on it. Congrats
